We at CNA Edge are very pleased to announce the publication of our first book, an anthology volume of posts from 2014.
It’s been a long journey since Yang started this blog back in early 2014. First Alice joined him as a regular contributor, and then a few months later, I did.
Like so many of you, I found this blog through Facebook…and I’m so glad I did. Working with Alice and Yang on this blog, and then for our book, had been a blessing.
Throughout this journey, we were blessed again with you: everyone who has followed this blog, liked us on Facebook and shared our posts.
This book could not have happened without you. From the bottom of our hearts, we thank you. Thank you for being a part of this journey.
And now, as we like to say, come join us!
An excerpt from the book:
In early 2015, after a full year of posting, we had over one hundred and fifteen posts. Such a depth of content, so many thought-provoking essays…almost too many for ease of access on a blog platform. With so many essays, the older-but still relevant-ones were getting buried. We decided to reformat our blog posts from 2014 into this single volume anthology as a way of providing easier access to the content and as a means of reaching a larger audience. For this collection, we divided the blog posts into three loosely defined sections-Perception and Reality: The CNA and the Work Environment, Coping and Growth: the CNA and Stress, and Advocate and Caregiver: the CNA and the Resident. All names and identifying information concerning residents, facilities and coworkers have been altered for the protection of their privacy in accordance with HIPAA.
